Investors step on people like ants.

I once heard it said that we step on ants without conviction because we realize that we are higher beings and there is no penalty for our actions. Likewise, we who have the power of the gods can step on the weak because the power difference is the same.

In the corporate world this seems to be the perception from the higher ups. We, the lower beings, are to be stepped on to make it to the top. Recent examples of this is the Madoff investment scandal.

Madoff pulled off the greatest investment banking fraud in history; 50 billion dollars ($50+9 zeros!). Turned in by his own sons Madoff was sentenced to 150 years in prison.

What is more surprising are the aftereffects. His son, who turned him in, commits suicide on the  2 year anniversary. He sent off emails to his wife, lawyer, and others before he committed the act. The one to his wife read, “I love you” — and then alerted her to “send someone to take care of Nick,” their two year old son. His final goodbye was a love letter to his bride while asking that someone take care of his child.

God, the Greater Investment Banker, invested in creation making it perfect yet having the propensity to fall; while never removing his sovereignty. Through the sin of man all creation became corrupted. So Madoff is merely a product of a corrupted world, just as you & I.

God did not give up on his investment. God decided to re-up and put all his chips in the person of the God-man Jesus Christ. God invested all of the heavens & went bankrupt to buy back a broken world. The world saw the sacrifice God made on a cross & a great depression took place on a Black Friday, now known as Good Friday.

We who do not have a heavenly perspective could not foresee the sacrifice made by Christ; to us it seemed Madoff-ish.

God the Father made a mistake in his investment into creation? God the Son committed suicide?

With our ant-eye-view we could not see the meaning behind the sacrifice. God did not make a mistake, but an investment towards redemption. God’s goal has always been the redemption of a broken world. I cannot explain the infinite & neither am I trying to simplify God but in the love letters left by the Son before he departed read, “For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.” (I Timothy 2:5-6)

At the proper time Jesus made a ransom for sin & sat at the right hand of God. To us it seemed like suicide, but it was not suicide because suicide is the taking of the body that does not belong to you. Since Jesus is the Creator his body belongs to him & he can do with it as he pleased. It pleased him to give ‘it’ as an exchange for ours to appease the anger the Father had towards this broken creation.

The sacrifice Jesus made is sufficient for Madoff, but can only be applied if he repents & believes in Jesus Christ. If Madoff does not know Christ I pray that he finds him during his prison sentence. I pray that Madoff realizes that God became an ant & experienced the suffering ants go through so that ants may become the children of God. My prayers go out to his family.

i never seen a man cry, until i seen a man die.

tears fall from my eyes every time i watch the assassination scene on spike lee’s film: malcolm x.

now i know there are people out there who may ask, “how can you, a devout christian, be moved by the death of a man who obviously disagreed with what Jesus taught and commanded?”

well, part of the answer is in your question: malcolm x is a man, a human, just as you and me are, but the real reason is … well … follow me.

actually. look. i don’t feel like giving you the run-a-round. i’ll make like a twitter trending topic and #get2thepoint.

malcolm x got murdered by the very people he loved.

Jesus Christ got crucified by the very people he Loved. you. me. (acts 2:36).

the difference is, Christ’s death was like that of no other … it was the end all, be all, perfect, sacrificial, substitutional (meaning he died the death that we were supposed to die), DEATH.

he didn’t just get brutally shot up by a few of his former followers, but EVERYBODY got a lick in. how so? well, Jesus basically got jumped on the cross, bearing ALL of our sin, guilt, and shame, from the Father himself!

if the reenactment of an assassination can stir a stomach, bring a grown man to tears, let alone spark any emotional reaction, i wonder what the thought of MY sins, killing a perfect, almighty God, will do?

but He resurrected and forgave us. belieeeedat.

fight for your death

...go kill youself.

*ding ding ding*

ok you took some major hits last round…

but just one more round.

don’t give up on me now. look at me..

tears only last through the night…but joy comes in the morning doesn’t it? well…are you going to cry and give up?

What ever happened to WATCH, FIGHT, and PRAY…you focus on watching and praying but you lack on the fighting.

No, don’t fight with your strength…with His strength. wage war.

declare your hatred for your flesh and murder it. do not allow it to live.

the worst thing happened to you that can happen to any fighter…you got civilized…

The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place… and I don´t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently, if you let it. You, them or nobody, is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how much you sin… It’s about how much you repent and turn away from your sin, and keep moving forward… how much you can take, and keep moving forward. That´s how winning is done. Now, if you know what your worth in Christ Jesus, go out and get what your worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits. And not pointing fingers saying: You ain´t what you wanna be because of him or her or anybody. If you repent and somebody else gets the blame you never repented. Cowards do that and that ain´t you! You´re better than that! Do you know what it cost Christ on the cross to wash away that sin you so easily indulge in…God obliterated Him on the cross. The first level of Christianity is a complete denial to every want and desire outside of God’s will…repent and believe in the Gospel to which is your salvation.

just one more round. look at me…I’m the Holy Spirit…I got your back and if God is for you who can be against you…in your weakness He is made strong…so submit and rely on His strength alone.

my job is to point you to Jesus and Jesus said, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself? For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”

now get back out there and kill yourself.
